Jan Hommen studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Applied Science in Koblenz. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree in 2019, he went on to complete a Master’s Degree in 2019. His Master’s Thesis was done in partnership with TOMRA and focused on advanced mechanical recycling processes and is the result of half a year’s active work in an Advanced Mechanical Recycling facility in Germany.

Jan joined TOMRA’s Circular Economy Division in 2021 and currently serves as an engineer, concentrating on New Plastics Applications. In his role, he explores the market for recycling opportunities that lead to closing the loop for plastics and to achieving a Circular Economy.
